HISTORY OF LAZZARI GROUP, a history in constant evolution …
LAZZARI GROUP’s history dates back to 1951, when it began working in the field of civil works (sanitary plants, heating and air conditioning plants). Over the years the growth and evolution of the company required several interventions related to an extension of the manufacturing structures, offices and covered spaces up to the actual company structure.
In 1959 was founded the company “F.lli LAZZARI - S.a.s.", the first industrial site, built in Ponte San Pietro (Bergamo), for the design, construction, assembly and maintenance of plants for the iron and steel industry.
In the early seventies, the activities of Lazzari group were concentrated on the realization of equipment for iron and steel plants and particularly of continuous casting plants for billets and material handling systems.
In 1980 was founded a new company with the name of "LAZZARI - Officine meccaniche Impianti-industriali - S.p.A.", with the unbundling of the productive activity from “F.lli Lazzari s.a.s.”.
F.lli Lazzari s.a.s was left with the task of coordinating the policies of economic/financial management of the Group.
It is in the eighties that Lazzari company consolidated its position in the steel and iron industry, designing and supplying to the world’s largest producers innovative plants and machines like mandrel screwing/unscrewing machines and cooling beds for seamless tube hot rolling mills.
In the nineties the company acquired further tool machines and expanded its technical department to ensure a more advanced and innovative design, with the aim to satisfy every request of its customers. In these years the circular saws as well as other machines for pipe finishing were implemented in the production program. Furthermore, among the most important works of this decade there are various coil handling systems, down coilers, roll shops and strip accumulation towers for the flat product industry.
In the new millennium, Lazzari company has been confirming its position as main actor in the international iron and steel market. In fact, 80-90% of the new machines for the pipe production and long product process crosses the borders of Italy and Europe. The opening of the markets in China, Brazil, Russia and Ukraine allows our company to occupy a privileged position in the international market.
The great turning point of Lazzari company in the last 10 years is represented by the saws and is witnessed by more than 50 types of machines of each model for the different applications and customer requirements, designed, built, shipped and commissioned all over the world.
